Simple Minds have announced further details of their biggest UK headline show since 1991 at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on Friday 27th June 2025, as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions.

The band return to their hometown with a very special show, celebrating 40 years of their iconic and multi million selling album ‘Once Upon A Time’. In addition to all the hits and fan favourites, Simple Minds have today confirmed that they will also be performing the 1985 No.1 album in it’s entirety for one night only.

Featuring some of the band’s biggest UK singles – “Alive And Kicking” (No.7), “Sanctify Yourself” (No.10), “All The Things She Said” (No.9) and “Ghost Dancing” (No.13) – ‘Once Upon A Time’ was the album that really blew things wide open for Simple Minds in the States, following the massive global success of “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” (the theme to John Hughes’ 1985 movie ‘The Breakfast Club’) which had given them their first US No.1 weeks earlier.

As previously announced, special guests Future Islands, KT Tunstall and Hamish Hawk complete an exceptional line-up for the day.

Following the huge ongoing success of their Global Tour, which kicked off in 2024, and is their largest since 1985, Simple Minds have been announcing new dates for 2025. These include a tour of Latin America, followed by a run of UK & European summer outdoor shows with more dates across the world still to be announced.
