Off the Ball is petty, ill-informed and fronted by two Scottish football fans who really should know better.
Stuart Cosgrove and Tam Cowan have endured more highs and lows than Michael Fish, but, erasing the memory of the last-minute defeat and focusing on the flukey winner, they stick on the headphones each week and make us laugh about our national game.
Off the Ball will have a pop superstar in the studio for the programme on Saturday 10 October.
Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr has promised us that he’ll be here in Pacific Quay in his home town to discuss, among many things, Scotland’s performance in Japan.
Also on Saturday’s show will be writer Gerry McDade who is popping in to tell us about his book on Celtic in the 1970s – we hope he’s going to be sporting a suitable seventies footballers’ hairdo.
